"To round off Jethro Tull’s 50th anniversary year, the band are proud to announce the Deluxe Vinyl Edition release of their best-selling, multi-platinum, fourth studio album, Aqualung. Originally released in March 1971 the album has sold in excess of seven million copies worldwide achieving Top Ten status in the album charts in both the UK and US.
The album was originally recorded at Island Studios in Basing Street, London in December 1970 and February 1971. The line-up at the time recording consisted of new bassist Jeffrey Hammond, who had replaced Glenn Cornick, John Evans who is now a full band member on keyboards and Ian Anderson and Martin Barre. It was also to be drummer Clive Bunker’s final swansong with the band.
The audio was remixed by critically acclaimed Steven Wilson in 2011 and the packaging will contain 12” Deluxe Casebound book 28pp booklet to hold 1 x 180g black vinyl:
